Welcome to Montana Ranch and Farm
2013 is starting off as a good year in the Real Estate Market. The fall of 2012 seemed like it was very busy with people trying to get things done under a tax code that they knew instead of an unknown tax code in the future. The uncertainly of the dysfunctional politicians in Washington doesn't do a lot of good for the real estate markets or any market for that matter. The last year has seen a lot of large ranches, such as over $10 Million, sell. The largest was one that was listed at $135 Million.
As always keep in mind that Real Estate is a long term investment so plan your investment and invest your plan. Click on the link below for my opinion on the 2012 Real Estate Market.
People in general tend to react to what has happened not what is ahead of them. Bottoms are made on bad news….however because Real Estate is a long term market we need to look at what is coming up ahead not behind us.

If you are looking to make an investment in any Montana real estate whether it is farm, ranch, hunting, or recreational, you have come to the right place. My years of experience will give you an edge on your next land purchase. Regardless of the listing agent I can help you purchase your next Montana investment. I spent most of my life in farming and ranching in North Central Montana and now live in Butte Montana, a historical mining town in Southwestern Montana; we are at a little over a mile high and next to the Continental Divide in the Rocky Mountains.

Purchasing Ranch Property
Spending over 30 years in the ranching business not only taught me a lot about ranching , from holistic range management to irrigated crop management, but it has also taught me a lot about Montana's land, 2012 Real Estate Markets. My lifetime of experience has taught me
"You will pay for good land once but you will pay for poor land the rest of your life.”

Selling Ranch Property
I have been on your side of the fence for over 30 years so I have a pretty good idea what it is like over there. Buying land and owning land thru the 80’s gave me a look at both sides of land investment. The game is played a lot different when you are “inside the barrel”. When you are ready to sell, I work with a team of professionals to help sell your property for the best price. If you are just thinking about selling, give me a call for an honest opinion on the best direction for you. Rest assured anything we talk about would be kept strictly confidential.

Hunting and Recreational Land
Ioutfitted for 13 years on our ranch property, neighbors land and BLM lands in the Bears Paw Mountains for bird, deer and antelope hunting. Living on the land and guiding customers and friends hunting or just enjoying the Open Lands of Montana gives me an insight for what land has the potential to be a real world class Sporting Property.

Ranch Mangement
Managing a ranch in Montana can be a whole new ball game for most investors. I can supply you with management for your new ranch that will help make sure it fits your needs.
